I’m 36 years old, born and raised in Graham, NC. I grew up with baseball, football and NASCAR. My last name is Allison, so I had to pull for the Allison boys - Bobby, Donnie and Davey.
When I got out of high school, my friends and I started our first band (White Lies). This was 1987 so the music scene was great back then. I loved listening to Van Halen (of course), Judas Priest, Scorpions, Great White, RATT, Dokken, Tesla, and Motley Crue.
A few years later, I got married and tried to settle down, but as you can see it didn’t take.
I have 2 wonderful kids - a boy and a girl - that I love with all my heart.
I have a dog named "Poot" (Jack Russell). I named the dog after a story comedian Ron White tells... he talks about the bank robber and 500 shots fired and the guy never got hit and he says, “Hell my son, Tater Tot - I also call him Poot - he could have hit the son of a bitch with that many rounds fired, hell shoot him in the fuckin’ head....Bang! Poot got him!” (I was drunk at the time the dog was given to me, and thought it was funny....it’s a redneck thing....LOL)
I drive a big truck as my day job. I have had my commercial drivers license
16 years now (so I got a lot of mileage). I used to love driving trucks, but now the traffic is bad everywhere.
I have been in a dozen or so bands over the years playing little bars in NC, SC and VA. I started acquiring a lot of sound equipment over the years and began doing sound and lights for other bands when my band wasn’t playing.
In 2000, we put together our current band "LUCKY 13." We are a VH tribute band, but not like the Atomic Punks (we don’t try to look like them, we just try to play and sound like them). And by the way I think the Atomic Punks rock! Ralph is the man! In 2004, when VH opened the tour in Greensboro, we played the afterparty across the street from the show. It was bad ass!
What more could you ask for playing a packed house for VH fans that just left the show. So we gave them the classic stuff they didn’t get to hear at the show. It was great! Our website www.eruptionmusic.com
This year I’m on the road with the Easyriders bike show tour www.easyridersevents.com It’s a lot of fun.
I think life is short, so I try to make the very best out of it.
