January
- Pumpkinhead -
Well, It's been almost a full year since I was a Featured User! Now, I'm just a user... er umm..... I mean...
Just kidding! No drugs here! Never have! Just a few beers here & there. Anyways....
It was a slow year for my business, so I'm too poor to pay attention! Actually, most of the bills are paid up, it just sucks to break even. Hopefully next year will be better.
I went to see "The other half" show on 7/1/06 in Camden NJ, at the Tweeter Center. Went to see my completely insane friend Kevin. I got there around 11:30 am, right before he was finished setting up. Met another great man there, another friend of Dugan, Paul Lorett. Paul also worked for Van Halen at one point, then left to become Bon Jovi's tour manager for the Slippery When Wet tour. We were just hanging out BS'N. Michael showed up around 2 - 3pm, at which time we were hanging on the bus. So, we went back to the stage. Everyone was there but Sammy, he showed up later. They ran thru sound check which was pretty cool. I was allowed to video a lot of it. I brought the camera mainly for the afternoon, not the show. Paul took some video of Kevin, Mike, & myself just hanging around on stage. Oh.... On madanthonycafe.com, there was a picture of Kevin running a sweeper on the stage. So I put it on a T-shirt and wrote under the pic "Hey wait! If Pumpkinhead gets his hands on that picture I'm Screwed!!!" So... needless to say, Kevin, Michael, Sammy, Mona, Basically EVERYONE thought it was funny as hell!!!!!!!!!!!
So... where was I.... Oh yea... the video....
So right before the show, Kevin & Micheal ask me to video the bass solo, which went right into RWTD, so I video taped that too. They had me shoot right from the front of the stage, Downstage right - house left for you theatre folk! I've been working on it here & there since, but my Video editing computer POS took a shit on me right in the middle of editing ( naturally ). So... now that I have it back up & running, I can finish the edits! Kevin has been asking about them actually, so I need to get it in gear & get finished! Some still shots are up on my Myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/thepumpkinheadreturns
Actually, Micheal has asked Kevin a few times now what was going on with it, so I really need to get it finished!!!! So yea.... I was onstage, about 5' away, video taping my favorite bass player, from my favorite band, at his request! Go Figure! lol...
I do just have to say one thing about all this....
Kevin has become one of my closest friends now, & that comes before anything! He is good people!!!! The Best! Michael I've met a few times now, & I mean for more than just a few minutes. Michael is good people too, I can just tell! Oh, & don't let me forget Paul Lorett.... So.... I basically got to hang all day with 3 of the greatest, nicest people you could ever hope to meet!!!!!!!! Probably one of the best days of '06 for me!!!
On of the worst Days was the funeral of a dear friend, John Leonetti, may he rest in peace! Johnny was another one, one of the great ones. I've worked for the family since I was a kid! They taught me a lot! Rest in peace Brother!
So... that's my 2006 update!
Now, for my 2007 predictions..........
Your lucky number is (4)
and you will have a good year in spite of yourself! lol....
All the best to everyone!
Pumpkinhead!

Well, my life didn't change since I was the Tormented VH featured user, except for the fact that now I am a celebrity in the VH camp. Plus I see the best concert of my life, Diamond Dave here in SP (Brazil)!!! Isn´t that amazing?!"

I haven't had much time to get online in the last 6 months. A lot of stuff has changed for me, or should I say they haven't changed...lo. Let's say I got even more stuff on my plate..
June 2006 a lawyer friend (Julian Doby) and I opened a live music club here in Burlington, NC. It has been doing really well. We have had some great bands thru here in the last 6 months. The club is called the RAVEN. You can check it out on myspace at www.myspace.com/theravenrocks or www.therocknraven.com
We have had a lot of fun with this new project, even met some true rock stars and rock legends.
With the club doing so well, my little sound company has took off too. I have partnered up with a couple of friends of mine to get even bigger. We changed the name to LIVE WIRE PRODUCTIONS. We have landed a few east coast club touring acts, and are in bids for the North Carolina State Fair contract for 2007. You can check us out at www.myspace.com/livewiresoundreinforcement
As far as my band goes, it's kinda been on the back burner on simmer..lol.. We still play a show now and then but nothing like the past. We will pick it back up and do more shows in 2007, so look out for LUCKY 13.....
I have plans for coming back out to the west coast in January again. I'm doing the Easyriders shows in Pomona, CA and Sacramento, CA again. I hope to get back down to the Strip again in Hollywood while I'm there. We had a blast last time.
So in the future I hope to hear from you guys, again I'm sorry for not keeping in touch, forgive me! But i plan to slow down sometime...hahaha
See ya! vhsinger22 aka....Jody

Otherwise, I have been well. Job is good, love life is great and everything else is status quo.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE ....

Ok, since we spoke last I was fortunate to be able to travel to Houston for the Texas Linkers (vhlinks.com) Weekend when great fun was had by all. I stayed in the host's house for a week and was able to meet and greet with VH fans from across the US. It was surreal in that I thought I was meeting strangers when in fact, I was meeting good friends I just hadn't met yet, but had been talking to for years, such was the friendliness of this group of people. Cabo Wabo was sunk aplenty poolside, and I had the most memorable, wonderful time.
Since then, life has been pretty quiet. Have welcomed the news of the possible reunion with trepidation, because like many others, I don't want to feel let down if it doesn't come off.
My daughter turned 16 a couple of days ago so that makes me feel very old.
I have also got involved in being a forum admin for a musician called Dan Hawkins who is in the UK group, The Darkness and we are looking forward to the band returning without their previous frontman, Dan's brother Justin.

June
- Angel -
It almost feels like a lifetime since I was Featured User. That was back in June, when I was getting ready for the next chapter in the saga of Angel's life. Wow, what a ride it's been!
I moved to a new city on June 30th, Regina, Saskatchewan. Summer kept me really busy, tons of festivals and lots of great local bands to check out! I ended my summer by attending the Biggest Housewarming Party Ever… in Kipling, Saskatchewan. http://oneredpaperclip.blogspot.com/2006/08/saskatchewa...st-housewarming.html . What a great way to end an amazing summer! I auditioned for Corbin Bernson (formerly of LA Law). The audition went extremely well, and I can't wait to work with Corbin next year! Also, I recently landed my first stage role. I will be playing Annie in the Regina Little Theatre's production of "Living Together" this February. http://www.reginalittletheatre.com/season0607/living.htm
Adjusting to life as a single person has been a bit of a challenge. With the end of summer, and the end of festival season, I discovered that because I had been living my life for others for so many years, I had no clue how to live for myself! So, I pulled myself out of that funk and started getting busy – Rolling Stones, dance classes and just plain getting out and about and trying to meet people with common interests.
No, I haven't met that special someone yet… although I miss the companionship a relationship brings, I don't miss the bullshit at all! (However, if you know any buxom beauties…
Keep on Rothin' yall… see ya in '07!

Hey all, Happy Holidays! I have been busy with school, where I am teaching AP Spanish for the first time, and heavily involved in trying to get a contract settlement from our crazy district. Hopefully, we don't end up on strike. Of course the other challenge is trying to keep up with my kids, and getting used to having 2 college students in the house. We are still trying to find places for all the stuff. (I have some ideas ....).
Have fun and enjoy the New Year . . . Maybe with some new Van Halen!

Well, nothing much has changed. I have a temp job I've been working at for the last five weeks. I'm hoping it will turn into full time.
I've lost my job, my mother and two friends since February, so I'm really looking forward to the New Year.

October
- blonddgirl777 -
The year has gone by, and I haven't seen it!
Major life changes for me...
I got pregnant for the first time (at 38). My husband and I decided on that sort of "last minute" and we are grateful that it didn't take long for it to happen... We were ready to accept whatever life was gonna bring at us, kid or not. So that in itself, is a big change because I never anticipated being a mother before this year!
I've decided that I don't want to work in the fashion industry anymore (after doing that for most of my life). I still don't know what I will get into. I'm an artist and I would like to do something creative. Still have to find my way... For now, I will raise our son and stay at home for about 18 months.
I traveled for work and pleasure; France, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium... That took time off the year, as I was gone for a while.
Most of all, I am grateful because this year seems to be a turning point for me in a pausitive way. It's like I will step into my 40's as a healthy and happy woman... and it's all good!
