Full Bug

This month we come around to someone who is very active in the VH community as a moderator over at the Diamond David Lee Roth .com forums. We are priveledged to have Full Bug as our featured user.

Chelle: Where were you born?
Full Bug: Toronto

Chelle: How many different cities have you lived in? What's the best thing about where you live in now?
Full Bug: Only two, Toronto and Stouffville, its funny, when I was 7 the family packed up and moved about an hour north of Toronto to escape the city, at that age I figured everyone up North wore cowboy boots and rode horses or something, lol, but it was a great time, one of my favourite memories as a kid was riding dirt bikes and such, couldn't do that in Toronto.... I guess the best thing about living in Toronto again is everything is so close, before it was a good drive just to go to the store.....

Chelle: What is your earliest memory?
Full Bug: I think living in apartment buildings, because of that the family was thrilled to get a house and get out of the city....I also remember being babysat alot because both my parents had to work hard and long hours to make it happen.....

Chelle: Do you have any siblings?
Full Bug: Just one, an older sister, I am glad she is in my life, since both my parents have passed away, she is the only family I have left, she lives quite far from me so I don't get to see her much though....

Chelle: What was the name of your first grade teacher?
Full Bug: Oh christ, I am missing too many brain cells to remember that!

Chelle: What were your interests in school?
Full Bug: All through school, all I wanted to do was read, my parents pushed me to read from a very early age, still am that way, I read a few books a week....I also enjoyed computers in High School too, was the only course I really tried hard in, and I got an A+, the only time I ever got one of those of course, lol....And that knowledge of Commodore 64's really paid off with computers these days eh? Not!

Chelle: Who from high school would you like to run into?
Full Bug: My best friend in school at the time Matt, we did alot together, a few concerts too, I lost touch with him in the early 90's and I have no idea what has become of him....

Chelle: What did you always want to be when you grew up?
Full Bug: Drug dealer making the big bucks and driving the nice car!
Nah, my mom worked for a travel company, and part of that job was taking trips to Mexico and Barbados a few times a year, the whole family got to go, so I used to fly alot, was really spoiled that way, so I wanted to be a pilot....

Chelle: Did you ever get to do that?
Full Bug: Well, I still fly high as much as i can!

Chelle: LOL What's your day job?
Full Bug: A printing press operator, making labels, although its pretty on and off, but I find ways to get by....

Chelle: Are you married or single? Any kids?
Full Bug: Been with a gal for 8 years now, its been interesting, never a dull moment my life with her, no kids, I doubt I really want any.....Nothing against kids, it just isn't for me....

Chelle: When did you first get into music?
Full Bug: The first time I really remember getting into anything was Elton John, back in his 70's glory days, still listen to his old stuff to this day, then I got into the Beatles, really liked the harmonies of their stuff, after that I jumped into Ozzy Osbourne, now that's a leap from the Beatles eh? Ozzy was king for a little while, would listen to Speak Of The Devil every day, right after that I discovered VH, they were king for many many years after that....

Chelle: Do you play any musical instruments?
Full Bug: Nope, tried guitar but sucked at it, always wanted to sing but suck at that too...Can't win them all I guess....

Chelle: Did you play any instruments as a child that you don't play anymore?
Full Bug: Does the Recorder count? Actually I played Trombone in school, I bet you can guess how that went....

Chelle: Hmmm...I'm guessing you sucked at it. LOL. Tell me about your musical interests.
Full Bug: In my teens it was all about Heavy Metal, anything else sucked in my eyes, Classic Rock is still my music of choice, except for the Metal only part, but I will listen to anything except Hip Hop and Rap, cant stand either....

Chelle: What was the 1st concert you ever attended?
Full Bug: Ozzy of course! Bark At The Moon tour at Maple Leaf Gardens, I was only 12 at the time, but my parents knew how much I wanted to go, so they sent a family friend with me and my friend to go with us, she hated it! But that was so cool of my parents to let me go, me and my friend were the envy of every kid in grade school the next day! I still remember it like it was yesterday.....

Chelle: When would you say you became a VH fan? What turned you on to VH?
Full Bug: What turned me on to VH? Eddie's playing blew my mind, but for me it was Dave, the way he was on stage, his whole look, I wanted to be Dave! I grew my hair so it would look like his, the whole package, Dave 'Was' cool, he had it all, god, I even remember wanting to work out and stuff so I could do those high kicks and roundhouses, you know how teenagers are....

Chelle: How long have you been involved with the online VH community? Have you always had the same username?
Full Bug: I think I joined in early 2000, at The Army of course, I have always had the same user name....

Chelle: Ever posted under an alias?
Full Bug: Once or twice years ago, I think that lasted about a day or two, I cant be bothered with that stuff....

Chelle: Are you the same Full Bug that used to post on the PD? The one that met Michael Anthony and got in "trouble" for posting what he said?
Full Bug: No, I ain't the same guy, I have never in my life posted at the PD, you would have to kill me first, lol....

Chelle: What's the funniest story you can share with us about your experiences as a moderator?
Full Bug: Hmmm, nothing really jumps out, but then at times I cant remember what happened last week, lol...

Chelle: What is your opinion of the current state of VH?
Full Bug: Well, I give Dave credit for even trying to make a go of it considering Eddie's drunkin state, if I were him I would stay far far away, I think he knows how much the diehard fans want it to happen, and I'm sure a part of him as well, I was a little excited when I heard about the Tour, if only to see Dave and Ed onstage together, I never got to see the real deal, but of course I should have known better....Just glad I have my collection of Boots and DVD's....

Chelle: If it happens, are you going to any shows?
Full Bug: If it happens? Hell yeah, I just want to see it to say to myself I have, but I cant see it happening....

Chelle: Have you met any of the VH band members?
Full Bug: No, would love to only to get a picture, having a pic of myself and Dave to hang on my wall would be so cool, I envy those who have that, like Von for example who has a pic of himself and Dave, and of course yourself Chelle, who has a picture with Eddie....

Chelle: Met any other celebrities?
Full Bug: I met David Hasselhoff, I guess that would be a big deal to some lame people, lol, wasn't a big deal to me in the least, met him at the CN Tower....
I hung out with Helix once, and helped sing with some other people on one of their tracks, that was so cool at the time, met Honeymoon Suite, David Wilcox, but those could only be called celebrities here in Canada....Even that's a stretch....

Chelle: Have you ever been told that you resemble a celebrity?
Full Bug: I have had people I didn't even know say I look like Tom Petty, no idea where that comes from, and people say I do too much drugs, lol....

Chelle: What famous person(s) would you like to have dinner with?
Full Bug: I have always had a keen interest in Canadian politics, so dinner with Stephen Harper would be interesting, for my US friends that's our Canadian Prime Minister, lol....

Chelle: What famous person(s) would you like to sleep with?
Full Bug: Always had a thing for hot blonds, Christina Applegate in her Married With Children days would be at the top of the list, these days Stacey Kiebler turns my crank, what legs! I love long legs....

Chelle: What single store would you choose to max out your credit card in?
Full Bug: Future Shop, or any electronics store, I would buy enough electronic toys to keep me busy for awhile....

Chelle: If your company gave year-long paid sabbaticals, what would you do for that year?
Full Bug: Travel, you would find me in Cancun or somewhere like that, I hate winter, every year it seems to get colder, must be old age setting in....

Chelle: Do you have any hobbies?
Full Bug: Reading, Computers, listen to music as much as I can, oh and how could I forget Hockey! Love watching it, love playing it even more, an ideal day for me would be a road hockey game with a case of beer and all my friends, that's likely the one thing I miss the most since I have moved....

Chelle: What is your favorite movie of all time, and why?
Full Bug: Don't know if I have a favorite, but Braveheart is good, another one that may surprise people is Dances With Wolves, I seem to really enjoy historical movies....

Chelle: What is your comfort food?
Full Bug: It may sound stupid, but roast beef! Out of a crock pot, on a sandwich, by itself, I cant get enough of the stuff....

Chelle: What is your guilty pleasure?
Full Bug: Porn

Chelle: Who is your favorite superhero?
Full Bug: Spiderman, lived for that cartoon as a kid....

Chelle: If you could have a "super power" what would it be?
Full Bug: Being invisible, that would come in handy for sure....

Full Bug: Set some friends up, travel....

Chelle: What bill do you hate paying the most?
Full Bug: Cable, our cable bill every month is insane....

Chelle: What is the craziest thing you've ever done?
Full Bug: Drove a car 15 miles to a hospital when my friend was having an asthma attack while I was on a major acid trip, very lucky I didn't kill us or someone else....

Chelle: Have you ever peed in a pool?
Full Bug: Not since I was a kid....

Chelle: Have you ever had to pull over on the side of the road to puke?
Full Bug: Very rarely believe it or not....

Chelle: Do you collect anything?
Full Bug: Hockey stuff, whatever I can get my hands on....

Chelle: What is your biggest pet peeve?
Full Bug: People that crowd me, I need my space!

Chelle: If you could get away with it, who would you kill?
Full Bug: Paul Bernardo, Canadians will understand that answer....

Chelle: If you could change anything about yourself what would it be?
Full Bug: My party ways, I just enjoy it too much....

Chelle: What would most people be surprised to learn about you?
Full Bug: I don't smoke nearly as much as people think....

Chelle: Where is the strangest place you have ever brushed your teeth?
Full Bug: In the toilet? Just kidding, while camping I would guess....

Chelle: How much cash do you have on you right now?
Full Bug: 50 bucks, that's 85 american!

Chelle: What are you wearing?
Full Bug: Track pants and a T-Shirt, when I'm at home I dress like a slob....

Chelle: What is your dream vacation?
Full Bug: Australia, always wanted to go there....

Chelle: At this point in your life would you rather start a new career or a new relationship?
Full Bug: New career

Chelle: Do you have a general philosophy on life?
Full Bug: Yes, enjoy everyday, it could be your last....

Chelle: What do you want to achieve in life?
Full Bug: Just to be happy....

Chelle: Anything else you'd like to mention that I haven't asked about?
Full Bug: Just that its nice to have a online community like we have, have made lots of great friends.
